The ED-IPC1200 is an industrial computer based on the Raspberry Pi CM0, featuring a 1GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 processor with 512MB SDRAM and optional 8GB or 16GB eMMC storage. The device supports both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Raspberry Pi OS in Desktop and Lite configurations, and offers H.264/MPEG-4 video codec capabilities at 1080p@30fps along with OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0 graphics processing support.
In terms of connectivity, the ED-IPC1200 provides a comprehensive set of industrial interfaces. The front panel includes one RS485 port, four digital inputs (DI) and four digital outputs (DO), all using 3.5mm pitch pluggable terminal blocks with 3.75KV isolation protection for the DI/DO channels, plus one 10/100M adaptive Ethernet port. The rear panel houses a Nano SIM card slot and a Type-C USB port for system programming. The side panel offers one USB 2.0 Type-A port, an additional RS485 interface, one RS232 interface, two SMA antenna connectors for optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and 4G modules, and a 9V~28V wide-range DC power input with reverse polarity protection.
Wireless communication options are available as configurable features, including 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as three regional variants of 4G CAT1 modules: the EC800M-CN for China/India, EC800K-EU for Europe, and EC800Q-NA for North America, each supporting different LTE frequency bands appropriate for their respective regions. The device integrates an RTC with a 1F supercapacitor backup power supply to maintain clock operation during power outages.
Designed for industrial environments, the ED-IPC1200 features a compact metal enclosure measuring 105mm×86mm×26mm (excluding DIN rail bracket and antennas) and weighing approximately 310g, with standard DIN rail mounting support. The unit includes multiple status LEDs indicating power, system activity, 4G network registration and signal strength, serial communication activity, and individual DI/DO channel states, along with a reset button and a user-programmable button. The operating temperature range spans from -20°C to 60°C, with identical storage temperature ratings and 5%~95% non-condensing operating humidity, while typical power consumption is around 5W, making it suitable for industrial automation and IoT gateway applications.
