The ED-PAC3100 is a real-time CODESYS programmable automation controller designed for industrial applications. It features a powerful hardware system with a Broadcom BCM2712 quad-core Cortex-A76 64-bit SoC running at 2.4GHz, supporting up to 8GB of LPDDR4-4267 SDRAM and storage options including 16GB to 64GB eMMC flash, a Micro SD card slot, and an M.2 B-Key interface for SSD expansion.
The controller is optimized for Raspberry Pi OS and supports CODESYS Control Real-time (RTE) and Visualization (Web). It can achieve a control processing cycle time of up to 250μs and handle 16-axis motion control within a 1ms processing cycle. It supports IEC-61131-3 programming languages (FBD, LD, IL, ST, SFC, and CFC) and includes CODESYS V3.5 IDE, EtherCAT Master, Modbus TCP Master, WebVisu, and OPC UA Server.
The ED-PAC3100 offers a wide range of I/O interfaces, including isolated 2 x RS232 and 2 x RS485 ports, a 10/100/1000M Ethernet port, a 10/100M Ethernet port, HDMI, and USB 2.0 ports. It also includes a 9V~36V wide voltage input with overcurrent, overvoltage, and reverse polarity protection. The controller integrates a 15F supercapacitor for backup power, RTC with a supercapacitor backup, EEPROM, and an encryption chip for enhanced security.
The ED-PAC3100 operates within a temperature range of -25°C to 60°C and supports rail mounting. It is designed for reliability with features like a watchdog timer and a buzzer for alarms. The default CODESYS license includes EtherCAT Master, Modbus TCP Master, Multicore, OPC UA Server, and WebVisu, with additional licenses available upon request.
