Design Concept:

ED-PSU1201 power supply adopts a simple design concept, focusing on providing users with stable and efficient power solutions. Its DC output voltage complies with the Safe Extra Low Voltage (SELV) standard specified in IEC 62368-1, ensuring safety in use.

Performance Characteristics:

This power supply is a single-phase, 12.0 watt, single-output stage power supply that offers high reliability with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 50K hours (calculated using Telcordia SR-332 issue 3 methodology in a 25°C environment). It is capable of stable operation in indoor ambient temperatures up to 40°C with natural convection cooling.

Input and Output Requirements:

The ED-PSU1201 power supply has a rated input voltage of 100-240Vac, with a wide operating range that can accommodate voltage fluctuations from 90-264Vac. It has a rated input frequency of 50/60Hz +/- 3Hz and a rated input current of up to 0.4 A. At no load, power consumption is extremely low at 0.1 W. The power supply also has built-in primary current protection, which is achieved by providing sufficient internal fuses on the AC input lines.

On the output side, the rated DC output voltage is +12.0V, the minimum load current is 0.01A, the rated load current is 1.0A, and the rated output power is 12.0W. The line regulation is less than ±5% at rated load, and remains stable even with +/-10% variations in input voltage. Ripple and noise are controlled to within 120 mVp-p, ensuring a clean output from the power supply.

Efficiency and Protection:

With an average efficiency of at least 82.96%, the ED-PSU1201 maintains high efficiency under varying loads. It also features short-circuit and over-current protection to ensure that the adapter will not be damaged in the event of a fault and will be able to return to normal operation once the fault condition is removed.
