Recently, EDATEC officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Romania-based VIEWTECH SYSTEMS, entering into in-depth collaboration on WEBICC, VIEWTECH SYSTEMS’s core SCADA HMI software. This partnership marks a key step in the implementation of EDATEC’s "Software Ecosystem Partner (SFP)" strategy. By integrating "hardware strength + software capabilities," the two parties will provide global industrial automation customers with "one-stop, highly adaptable" solutions, especially offering end-to-end services from equipment selection to operation and maintenance for industrial Raspberry Pi customers.
As a modern SCADA software developed by VIEWTECH SYSTEMS, WEBICC is positioned around the core value of "Intelligence Everywhere, from Edge to Cloud." It is an extensible, componentized solution based on the latest web technologies. Its core advantages include: full browser-based configuration (no additional tools required), significantly reducing project development time; cross-operating system compatibility across Windows/Linux (including Raspberry Pi OS), adapting to multi-scenario hardware; support for mainstream industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, and MQTT, enabling easy connection to PLCs, sensors, and other devices; and built-in high security (default encrypted communication) with flexible licensing models, meeting the needs of small-scale projects to large distributed systems. For industrial Raspberry Pi customers, the two parties have launched a specialized "one-stop solution": Customers can directly select EDATEC’s industrial Raspberry Pi IPC (e.g., ED-IPC3600 series), which natively supports Linux systems and can run WEBICC software seamlessly. Paired with EDATEC’s HMI (e.g., ED-HMI3010-156C series), it enables high-definition display and convenient operation of WEBICC’s graphical interface. Combined with EDATEC’s PLC for data collection and equipment control, this forms a full-link closed loop of "collection - display - control - analysis." This solution not only significantly shortens customer project deployment cycles but also enables after-sales coordination through a single supplier (EDATEC), reducing operational and maintenance costs.
