The CM4 Industrial is a robust and highly configurable embedded computer that leverages the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. It's designed to meet the demands of industrial applications with its ability to be tailored to various requirements through different RAM and storage configurations. Users can choose between 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4-3200 SDRAM, and between 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of eMMC storage. For added flexibility, the system supports SD card startup, which is particularly useful for applications that require fast booting or frequent system updates.

This industrial computer boasts a comprehensive set of communication interfaces to facilitate connectivity in diverse industrial settings. It includes RS232 and RS485 interfaces for serial communication, high-precision ADC channels for analog input, isolated digital I/O for input and relay control for output, enhancing its adaptability in different control systems. There's also an Ethernet port with POE functionality, a 10/100M port, and support for 4G/LTE modules, making it suitable for applications requiring wired or wireless connectivity. External antennas can be connected to take advantage of the certified 2.4/5.8G dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth, ensuring reliable wireless communication.

The CM4 Industrial also supports the official Raspberry Pi 8-megapixel camera and offers both DSI display and HDMI cable ports for versatile display options. An onboard 32Mb serial Flash provides additional storage for system data, and the power supply range of 8~36V makes it suitable for a wide range of power sources commonly found in industrial environments. All important interfaces are protected with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safeguards to ensure the system's reliability.

For expansion, the CM4 Industrial offers a PCI-e 1x Gen2 interface, a standard 40-pin connector, and additional USB interfaces, enabling users to add more functionality to the board. This allows the system to be fully leveraged for its powerful communication capabilities to meet a variety of industrial requirements.

The system is enclosed in a metal case with two antenna holes, providing protection and facilitating DIN or wall mounting options. It measures 147mm in length, 119mm in width, and 28mm in height, making it compact enough to be easily integrated into most industrial setups. The CM4 Industrial operates within a temperature range of -25 to 50 degrees Celsius and a humidity range of 10% to 60%.

The CM4 Industrial comes pre-installed with 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS with Desktop, but it's also compatible with other versions, including 64-bit OS and Lite and Desktop versions. It supports BSP online installation and upgrade with APT tool, making it easy to manage and maintain. 1、What image was preinstalled for CM4 Industrial?

Normally we pre-install 32 bit BSP system for CM4 sensing before delivery.

2、Why do some functions fail when the CM4 Industrail was installed an official system?

We suggest the customer install the system image which provided by us. Otherwise, download our BSP to make some external interfaces work.

3. Does CM4 Industrial support Ubuntu system?

Yes, it does.

4. How can I access to EDATEC image file?

5.How to solve the error saying “config failed, hub doesn't have any ports! (err -19)” during turning on CM4 Industrial?

To delete the “otg_mode=1” in config.txt, [cm4], and then add “dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host” at the same time.

* CM4 Industiral released Version 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, V1.1~V1.3 support 8V~18V DC input, Version 1.4 supports 8V~36V DC input.
