EDATEC Releases the World's First Raspberry Pi 5 Industrial Computer Featuring an M.2 Solid State Drive!

Over the years, EDATEC has consistently upheld the spirit of innovation, continuously introducing new products. After successfully launching a series of industrial computers based on the Raspberry Pi CM4, the company has now released the world's first Raspberry Pi 5 industrial computer, the ED-IPC3020 series, featuring an M.2 solid-state drive.

The ED-IPC3020 is equipped with a powerful Broadcom BCM2712 quad-core Cortex-A76 64-bit 2.4GHz high-performance CPU, and also features multiple serial I/O ports and supports PoE. The series offers two memory configurations: 4GB and 8GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM, to meet different performance requirements. For storage, the ED-IPC3020 supports up to 64GB of MicroSD card and up to 256GB of M.2 NVMe SSD, providing flexible data storage options.

In terms of network connectivity, the ED-IPC3020 is very well-equipped. In addition to a Gigabit Ethernet port, it also offers an optional PoE (Power over Ethernet) module to meet different requirements. Furthermore, the device features advanced wireless capabilities, including dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, which includes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, providing users with a wider range of connectivity options.

ED-IPC3020 comes with standard USB capabilities, featuring two USB 3.0 ports with a speed of up to 5Gbps, and two USB 2.0 ports with a maximum throughput of 480Mbps. For serial communication, the device is equipped with one RS232 port and one RS485 port, each of which is carefully designed with wide compatibility.

In terms of audio input and output, the system is configured with a dedicated 3.5mm audio jack, and it also provides dual 4Kp60 HDMI outputs to meet the requirements of high-resolution displays.

The ED-IPC3020 system has an integrated real-time clock (RTC) supported by a supercapacitor and a CR1220 backup battery, ensuring accurate timekeeping even in the event of a power outage. Its fanless design eliminates noise issues, and the metal enclosure combined with a spacious heatsink effectively dissipates heat, collectively enhancing the overall reliability and lifespan of the system.

Furthermore, the ED-IPC3020 supports various configurations of the Raspberry Pi operating system, including desktop and lightweight versions, with both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures available.
